Morocco eSIM — frequently asked questions
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most phones from 2019 onward do — iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and recent Samsung Galaxy models. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked.
When does the eSIM activate?
You install it before you travel, and the data plan starts when you arrive in Morocco and connect to a local network.
Do I keep my own phone number?
Yes. The eSIM adds a data line, so your usual number stays active for calls and apps like WhatsApp.
Which areas does it cover?
Morocco's main networks cover the cities and tourist routes — Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Tangier, Agadir, Essaouira and the roads toward the Sahara.
Can I make calls with it?
